Relaxing

After a great service at church, we came home for lunch. Everyone came over to join us so we had a house full again!
Paityn was worn out from the nursery and slept for quite a long time.
We spent quite a bit of time just talking and looking through pictures.
It's great just spending time together and catching up.
We're really looking forward to our trip to Canada in July for the reunion. It'll be great to see our family and just spend some time together.
Each time Britton has gone to Canada we've made a build a bear with voice recording inside. This is the last one we made and we actually have a recording from Oma Versteeg, Opa and Oma, and dad. Paityn was amazed by it!
We're growing up!
Paityn got lots of attention!
and so did Britton. He loved having everyone over and was careful to thank God for each one of them during his nightly prayers. I'm wondering how long his prayer will be at our family reunion if he thanks God for everyone there!
It was great seeing and spending some time with Auntie Janice. When we visit, we're always at a reunion or another family members house so it was nice to just spend time with her.
Tonight we went to Panera for a small dinner. We had a great day/weekend just spending time together! I'm so glad that my grandparents were able to make the trip to see us.

A Day with Family

Paityn has to take some medicine that dissolves best in a bottle so this morning I decided to just pump a little and give her a small bottle. I had asked Brandon to give it to her but her said she wouldn't take it. He went to go and get ready and when I looked in on Paityn, I found Britton trying to give it to her!
She took it all! He was so proud of himself!
Opa, Oma and Auntie Janice came over this morning and then we headed to Target!
Of course, Opa had to spend a little time with his great granddaughter!
After shopping and a nice lunch, Opa and Oma went to take a nap and Auntie Janice and I headed out for some errands.
Britton was so excited to see Auntie Janice when he woke up!
Everyone came over tonight to our house for dinner and after that we went for a little walk.
I know I'm biased, but look at those eyes, eyelashes and lips! She is beautiful!
We had a full house! After the walk it was time to watch a little hockey! Go Blackhawks! Kris scored and had an assist, it's going to be a great series!

Mud and a Visit from Canada

It started out as nice clean water and fun and then...

it became more fun to jump into the mud!
Look mama!
After all the playing outside, it was time for a great nap!
Paityn woke up very happy and excited to spend some time with mama while Britton still slept!
I love my little girl!
Opa, Oma and Auntie Janice arrived for a visit from Canada. We were so excited to see them! This is Auntie Janice's first trip to TN so hopefully she'll have a great time!
Britton loved playing chase with Opa!

Zoo

It was a beautiful day so we headed to the zoo with Abbey and Reed.
"Reed's my best buddy mama!"
It was hot out!
The boys love to hold hands when they're walking and kiss goodbye, we may have to work on that at some point :) It's cute right now though.
Paityn did great! She slept for the most part and then just looked around.

When we got home, Britton fell asleep beside me and Paityn and I had a little conversation. She is developing such a personality!

Nothing like a sleeping baby on my chest and my little boy beside me!

Seven Year Anniversary

Monday - It's hard to believe that seven years ago, Brandon and I were married. It was a beautiful day and could not have turned out any better. We spent the night at Opryland hotel, the same place where Brandon had proposed and now that hotel is being remodeled after extensive flood damage.
The past seven years have been filled with many things!
- Five different houses with rentals in between! We also lived with Brandon's parents for a few months.
- I'm not sure how many cars/trucks :)
- Two beautiful children, Britton and Paityn
- Teaching the 7th/8th grade boys in Sunday school and now the seniors
- Vacations to Canada, Florida and a cruise
- Amazing friendships (Thank you for the hot dog anniversary dinner Jeff and Abbey!)
- Disaster relief after the hurricane
- Working with On the Go and our church youth group - Brandon working in construction, framing, general contracting, real estate and fitness instructor
- Completing my nurse practitioner degree
Tuesday
Brandon - I'm proud of who you are and what you strive to be. You are an amazing father and a great husband. I am blessed to be your wife and look forward to the coming years.
I know that we have our differences but I also know that through them all, our marriage gets stronger.
Thank you for who you are and all that you give me. God has blessed us beyond what we deserve and I pray that He will continue to strengthen our marriage, our children and that we will be examples for Him.
I love you, even if you forgot our anniversary :)
