Valentine's Blessings

This past week has been a little tough with some decisions that have come up but our kids can always bring a huge smile to my face!

They really do love each other so much. Britton is the best big brother, loving on her and aggravating her at times. Paityn has an incredibly loving heart and acts like a little mother!

We have been so blessed by our new youth group and church. To see the smiles on the kids faces and their enthusiasm for Christ is overwhelming. I'm so proud of Brandon and his accomplishments.

The other day, I picked Britton up from school and we went out to eat together. I love my big boy and can't believe he has grown up so much. He's going to start school this year!!!

I know this is a random picture but friends of ours saw the Stanley Cup and took a picture for us with Kris' name on it! He has played just over 300 games in the NHL and is the leading scorer for his team this year!

Valentine's day - We painted Valentine's for daddy and then a special one for Olivia who was coming for dinner! Britton was so sweet painting Olivia's and then he also had to do a special one for daddy. The other night Brandon took him out and then bought him a snowboard (it was so cheap at Target) He wanted to thank daddy for it!

Brandon and I had gone out for Valentine's this weekend, he had surprised me by planning a date! It was nice to just have time with the two of us. We enjoyed a quiet night at home having dinner and playing with Olivia. So blessed by relationships! Brandon's partner also closed their first house since September! God is good.

SuperBowl party

Tonight we had youth over for the SuperBowl party.

We had a good time talking, playing, eating and watching some football. We are loving getting to know these kids better and are really looking forward to the coming years.

We watched a video and did a devotion on idol worship. There is a video by the skit guys that we played that talks about idol worship.

Watching this and thinking about today I realized a couple things. Often SuperBowl Sunday is consumed with the SuperBowl - all things. It's discussed during the worship service, Sunday school and all things in between. Often church services are even cancelled to watch the game.

What if we had the same passion for Christ, sharing the gospel, as we did for watching the game.

What if our day, weekend and all the in between we became consumed with spreading the message of Christ.

Don't get me wrong, I love football (maybe hockey more :) but what if all Christians shared the same passion for sharing Christ as we did for the game.

Hanging out with Friends

Saturday - We had such a good time with Jimmy, Meilyn and James tonight.

Britton was our photographer for a minute.

We used to spend so much time with Jimmy and Meilyn eating out, playing games, watching movies and just having fun. So fun watching our kids play together.

The weather has actually been pretty warm out so we've been able to spend quite a bit of time outside!

Paityn is such a girly girl. She loves to carry around her baby and then rocks it and sings Jesus loves me. From school and church her teachers always tell me how loving she is to everyone. Bronson started school with her and apparently was crying in his crib during nap time. She reached her hand out to try and grab his and said "It's okay Bronson"

Saturday - Tonight we celebrated Brandon's mom's birthday. It was a great dinner and time together!

Sunday - Britton loves taking pictures!

Today was an amazing day. One of our new youth was saved at Rock Springs. It was such a blessing and affirmation of doing what we are supposed to do. God is so good!

Tuesday - My little girl has gotten so big! Britton and I had gone out to lunch with Oma and then stopped by Crossroads. He found a Phillipians 4:13 shirt and had to get the little pink backpack for Paityn.

They play so well together!

Tonight Melody came over for dinner! Britton was beyond excited and talked all day about her coming to play!

I know this is blurry but Paityn was giggling and so happy to be playing with Melody!

We are so blessed.

Door Knocking

Today we took our new youth door knocking!

They had a great time and we were able to collect a lot of cans for the parent assistance program, pray for some people and invite others to church!

Friday - Today was absolutely gorgeous outside.

It was the perfect day for a trip to the zoo!

Bronson and Courtney joined us.

Bethany, Brittany and Alannah also came!

It's always so much fun to see the excitement in my kid's eyes.

One of the giraffes was closer than I had ever seen one at the Nashville zoo.

Even the elephants were close!

One of the trainers came over to talk to us for awhile.

Tonight we went out to eat with Jimmy and Meilyn. So much fun to hang out with them - we can pick up right where we left off! Dinner was full of great conversation and laughter. So tonight I'm thankful for good friends. The type of friends that are always there no matter what.

Saturday - We spent most of the morning cleaning up and playing.

Tonight was our kick off event for the youth group.

So excited to see so many kids there!

Tonight I'm thankful for opportunities and our new youth. I'm excited that God has given us this chance and am looking forward to see what comes.

Tuesday - So today I'm thankful for babysitters who love the Lord, love our kids and that we love! We are so blessed to have family that is always willing to help us when needed and some amazing girls who our kids adore. Melody came to watch the kids for me this morning and the kids were beyond excited!

I'm also thankful for my husband and the huge help he has been recently.

Wednesday - This morning Britton headed back to school and Paityn and I went to run some errands.

I also took some time cleaning up Christmas stuff and wanted to share one of my favorite memories. Every year since we've been married we have taken a picture of our family for a Christmas ornament and here they are! 2003

Thoughts for the New Year

So today I've been consumed with some thoughts that I wanted to share or just record so I can remember these times. Over the past month, I feel like I've really been tested. We came off an amazing Unity Retreat with our youth to find out that they were going to be introducing the prospective new youth minister the next week, my boss made some changes to my work that have been really difficult to handle and then Paityn took an incredible hard fall to her head the last regular Wednesday night at church. I remember telling my mom that night that I really just needed Satan to back off for awhile. Soon after that we were approved as the new youth pastor at Rock Springs which was unbelievably exciting and scary all at the same time. I've gone to Springfield Baptist church for 18 years and Brandon and I have gone there since we've been married. We have worked with the youth on Wednesday nights for 4 years and as the interim for 21 months. Both our kids were dedicated there and we have so many memories. Mix in the holidays which are always wonderful and yet sad for me at the same time - it was during Christmas my parents told me they were getting divorced, the first of January that I said goodbye to my dad and flew down to Tennessee with my mom and Robert to begin a new life and I'm always reminded during the holidays how much I miss my family in Canada. Then right before Christmas my boss asked me to make another decision by the first of the year regarding working full time which is something that I really have not wanted to do - I want to be able to spend time at home with my kids while they are young. Then came Christmas, New Years and time to say goodbye to the youth who have meant so much to us. Mix in some sickness, bronchitis that neither Brandon or I can fully get over, we are tired! I think I've cried more in this past month than I have in years.

During this time a couple verses have replayed over and over in my mind.

I know that we serve a powerful and holy God and He will continue to provide and carry us through when we cannot continue ourselves. So today, after thinking about all of this, I stumbled upon a blog about a family whose little girl was diagnosed with brain cancer. I have spend some time tonight reading this blog and throughout all of it, the faith of the family shines. I was reminded how trivial all these things that I have allowed myself to dwell on really are and was reminded of how blessed I really am. So I want to take a few minutes to just remind myself of these blessings.

First and foremost I'm thankful to serve a loving God who knows me best. He loves me in spite of my uncertainties, my weakness and is ALWAYS there! He has carried me when I physically, mentally and emotionally didn't think I could handle anymore. He has given me peace and understanding and always provides.

Next I want to thank my husband who loves me and is always showing me. He has held me when I cried, laughed with me, encouraged me and prayed for me and our family. I am so proud of you Brandon - for the choices you have made, for the man you are and for the godly influence you are to so many. This year is going to be an amazing year!

I'm thankful for my kids Britton and Paityn who have brought a smile to my face and laughter to my heart. I'm thankful for their health, their faith and the simple reminders they give me daily to soak up the small things and just relish every moment.

For my family who is always there.

I'm thankful to have a job.

I'm thankful that God is giving us another opportunity to continue youth ministry - something that has fulfilled us, strengthened us and challenged us in go many ways. I'm excited about our new church family and for the kindness and support they have already shown.

I'm thankful for those who have encouraged us so much over the past year. For your notes, your words and your prayers.

I'm thankful to our youth who have changed our lives in ways they will never fully understand. They have challenged us, strengthened us, pushed us and have helped us become the people we are today. I'm thankful for the random texts, messages, the notes of encouragement, the dinners, the trips, the passion they have for Christ. I have so many memories of this past year and seeing these kids worship Christ is one of the highlights. I'm thankful for the influence you all have had on this community, our family and specifically our children - Britton and Paityn. We love you guys so very much.

To my youth girls - thank you. I have loved every moment we have spent together. From the Bible studies, outings, messages and commitment you have shown. Our Proverbs 31 study and appreciation lunch will forever be etched in my mind. You girls are incredibly special to me and I pray that you will continue to be a part of my life.

I'm thankful for my health, my house, my family near and far. For the friends that I can just pick up with at a moment's notice, who always know what to say and whose relationships no matter the distance never change. I'm thankful for the simple reminders of the blessings I have. I'm thankful for so many things.....

So this year, I'm going to challenge myself to be more thankful. To tell people, to write it here and to make sure that I dwell in my blessings.

So tonight I'm thankful for Lucy's mom who blogs about their life and challenges and who continues to have faith in spite of their circumstances. I'm praying for this little girl I don't know and that her family will have peace despite the circumstances and I'm thankful for the reminder to be more thankful.

A New Year and New Beginning

2012- It's going to be a year of new beginnings. We had a special last Sunday school with our seniors. Teaching that Sunday school class will always be one of my cherished memories. The studies, the talks, the trips, the get togethers, the hand prints on the wall....During Sunday school, we also found out that one of our youth, JJ, accepted Christ and Brandon was asked to walk up front with him during church. What a perfect memory to begin 2012 and to say goodbye to Springfield Baptist. I held it all together until I went up front to hug JJ and then I saw my girls sobbing - I love them so much. We all headed out to lunch and to spend a little more time.

My kids love and adore these youth. They have become their friends, brought laughter and smiles to their faces, challenged them and played with them. Britton is really going to miss "my youth mama"

And Paityn, she loves these guys and talks often about Trace.

I spent the afternoon with my kids and Brandon and then headed to watch Courageous with our new church family. Some of our youth even came out there to watch the movie! We ate dinner together and then headed home after a fulfilling day. What a blessing today was. It could have been a really hard day but through God's grace, we made it through creating memories all along the way.

New Years Eve

What a perfect way to end 2011.

We went for a walk and the jeep battery died again. Paityn wanted to push Britton and wouldn't let me help. It was so cute!

Tonight we went over to Melody's house for the youth New Year's Eve party.

Britton counted down the minutes till he could be with his youth.

Every time I looked, Brittany had the shaker!

The kids had such a great time. They laughed and played until it was time for bed.

Finally it was 2012!

We were blessed to spend the night and the beginning of 2012 with some of our favorite people. This year has brought so many changes to our lives and we have been blessed in more ways than I imagined possible.

This week, we enjoyed playing with the new toys and spending time together. The kids love the tents they got!

We also played quite a bit with the nativities.

This Wednesday night was our last Wednesday night with the youth. It was a good time of reflecting over the past year and setting some goals for ourselves for the coming year. I don't think there are any words that would describe how much we are going to miss these youth and these times together. After I went out to BerryDLite with some of the girls and then a few of them came back to my house and just talked for a few hours. I have been so blessed to be a part of their lives.

Friday - Tonight we invited the seniors to go out to eat and we went down to Cozymel's in Cool Springs. Britton was so excited to hang out with the youth!

After dinner, we made our stop at Starbucks and then headed back to our house to hang out.

Britton and Sam shot people for a few hours it seemed! This past week has been full of "lasts" but I do know that God will see us through all these changes. We have formed relationships that will continue and our prayer is that these youth will always remember we are here for them! We have been unbelievably blessed over the past 20 months by them and by our Father who always knows best.

Boxing Day

Today we went out to eat for breakfast at Panera as a family and then headed over to my parents. We relaxed for awhile and watched Cars 2 before dinner and presents. Paityn ate and then came to rock her baby.

Brandon had to go and teach a class so he came back after to open his gifts.

Christmas Afternoon

After church we headed over to Brandon's parents for Christmas! Paityn has had to bring her doll everywhere. She wouldn't let anyone touch her in church!

We ate some great food and then the kids sorted out presents.

They got spoiled some more!

I think Britton's favorite gift was probably the scooter. They spent all afternoon outside.

Paityn loved her piano and will do great playing along with Britton's drums!

After a full day, we headed home after dinner. Papa had put this really neat building toy in Britton's stocking.

So Brandon and Britton sat down to build while I cleaned and Paityn baked cookies.

Over the past three Saturdays before Christmas, Papa and Britton went to Lowe's together to build this train. Britton had the absolute best time! He also has a little tool kit with everything in it that he needs and has helped with many things around the house. We are so thankful to have grandparents that so willingly help us whenever needed and create memories with our children. Thank you mom, Robert, Jerry, Vickie, dad and Marion!

Christmas Morning

Both the kids slept in again!

So at 8:30 they finally headed downstairs.

Paityn was so excited for her baby doll and her chair!

Britton kept looking at the drum set but did not want to get near it right away.

Christmas Eve

We were all ready for the candlelight Christmas Eve service. 2012 is going to be a year of many changes!

After church we headed over to my parents for our traditional French Canadian meat pie and stockings.

We got some great family pajamas.

The kids got some amazing nativity scenes.

My mom also made us another special picture book. This one is of my Opa and Oma.

After food and family we headed home to get ready for Santa. Britton had to make sure Cookie had treats as well as Santa.

Hockey Game

It was time for hockey!

Britton was so excited to be at a hockey game. He watched the entire game!

Lucas is one of a kind! And he's wearing a nice blazer he "stole" during dirty Santa the night before.

We had a great group of youth come and great seats!

And the Preds won the game with 8 seconds left! They came back from a 4-1 lead! what a game!

Youth Christmas Party

Today we cleaned up for the Christmas party, the kids made this fort and we also ate at McDonalds with Audrey and the kids!

Tonight we had the youth over for a Christmas party.

The food was excellent!

Sips and Strokes

We were also blessed this morning with our Christmas breakfast, thank you cards and a gift from the youth/teachers and also the church.

It was so fun just spending time with these girls.

On the Go Christmas Outreach

This morning we headed out to Nashville for the On the Go Christmas outreach.

We had a great time with some of our youth.

We were the live nativity scene again!

The chicken was definitely the highlight of all the animals for the youth! We enjoyed the guys singing some carols, watching kids faces light up petting the animals and ministering!

Dinner Date

Wednesday- For church tonight, we went to Rivergate to go shopping for our adopted family. I had ran over to chick-fil-a to get dinner and Britton had stayed with Melody. When I got back, Britton came and sat down with me to eat but then grabbed his food and went back to sit with Melody. It was the sweetest thing!

We went to Target to do our shopping and the kids had such a great time.

Thursday - Mrs. Tracy, the director of Paityn's MDO, sent this picture to me. Love seeing her so happy at school! Apparently, she helped make everyone's cookies!

At church on Wednesday night, Britton got to shop for us with points he has earned being at Sunday school, bringing his Bible and knowing his verse. He bought Paityn this and she loves it!

Friday - The kids have been so much fun today. They were sitting here just talking to each other because it was warm over the vent!

New Beginnings

Sunday - This past Sunday, Brandon and I were voted on and approved as the youth minister and assistant at Rock Springs Baptist Church. We are very excited that God has provided this opportunity and are willing to follow His lead. About a year ago, Brandon and I knew we weren't done with youth ministry, God made that very clear, but we weren't sure exactly where and in what capacity He wanted us to serve. God provided this opportunity and we are beyond blessed. I read a quote a couple weeks ago that said "God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called." Firmly believe that. So in the midst of some of our hardest days, God has brought a light and continued blessings! We will be starting to serve at Rock Springs the beginning of January.

Tonight was the musical at SBC. Brandon once again worked hard at set building,

and was also a wisman. In a purple outfit I might add :)

It was a great night.

Tuesday - I took the kids shopping today and they picked out Bronson's gift. They were so excited about it and had to work together to carry it and then wrap it once we got home.

Britton and I were talking about the new church tonight and he said he was excited about the new church but was going to miss the youth. He asked if Melody, Natalie, Jacob and Willie could come with us to the new church. I don't think some of these youth realize what an impact they have had on us and our kids. Ghostbusting with Sam, Paityn calling Trace on the phone, Britton wanting drums like McLain, naming their dolls Olivia...I could go on and on...

Wednesday - This morning we had a Santa breakfast at Britton's school.

Dessert Fellowship

Tonight was our dessert fellowship for missions.

It was also black and white ball so a lot of the youth were really dressed up.

On Wednesday night, we had a rough fall and Paityn ended up falling on her head. I really thought we were going to end up at Vanderbilt. She has a lovely black eye but is herself!

Thursday - Tonight I was invited by a dear friend to the Christmas dinner at church. Thank you so much Mrs. Michelle for everything. You did a wonderful job!

There are really no words to describe the mix of emotions I have had over the past week. There have been so many ups and downs.

Our children have continually brought a smile to our face during a week that could have really brought us down. So I want to thank them for doing something they didn't even realize made such a huge difference.

Decorating for Christmas

We had a blessed Thanksgiving with families and enjoyed dinner with my family on Friday night.

Saturday - Brandon had to work again this morning so Britton and I decided to decorate!

It's so fun seeing the excitement in my kids eyes as they experience everything.

Crazy boy!

Tonight I'm going to brag on my kids. We were decorating one of our trees today and I pulled out a nail ornament. I was talking to Britton about Jesus on the cross and the meaning of the nail and he said "Jesus loves us that much, right mama?" Melted my heart.

Paityn has also been going around for a couple days sinning Jesus loves me. She sings along to any music but loves singing Jesus loves me. She sings it to her dolls and will often come up to me and say Jesus and I know she wants to sing it out loud all together. I have a video of Britton and Paityn singing together - nothing better.

Thanksgiving with the Youth and Outreach

Wednesday - Tonight we had the youth over for a Thanksgiving dinner.

Unfortunately, there was an accident while it happened. They all perked up though when the food was ready!

I was a great time of food and fellowship.

There were a few youth that stayed for quite awhile just talking. Lucas was playing piano and Melody singing. He can play anything! We would say a song and he would start playing.

Thursday - This morning we volunteered at the Community Thanksgiving outreach.

So many of our youth came to help out! Britton did a great job helping as well.

This afternoon we put up some of our Christmas lights.

The kids were so excited!

Tonight we headed over to Brandon's parents for dinner and had a great time hanging out. So blessed with the family that is in our lives.

Things I'm thankful for:
1. God - His unending love, grace, faithfulness, mercy. The fact that He always knows what is best even if it's hard for me to understand.
2. Brandon - He loves me unconditionally, supports me and is always there. He is a provider and an excellent father.
3. Britton - I love his smile, laughter, his kind heart and compassion. His teacher said he does a great job in school and gets well along with others - so proud of him! He is also the best big brother, always looking out for Paityn.
4. Paityn - She makes me laugh constantly, gives me reasons to smile and challenges me. She is incredibly smart (she counted to 10 the other day all by herself!) and loves her BaBo (Britton)
5. My family who are always there.
6. My friends who bring a smile to my face with a simple conversation.
7. Our youth who constantly challenge me to be better.
8. My health, home and food that is provided.

I could go on and on, I am incredibly blessed.

Thanksgiving Outreach

We were painting and I was helping Britton paint a motorcycle when I noticed Paityn had paint all in her hair! By that point, I decided to see how far she would go :) Let's just say I had to wash it all off of her!

Saturday - Brandon and I have had the privilege of volunteering with On the Go Thanksgiving outreach for about 8 years now.

Each year we invite the youth to go and they are blessed as they minister as well.

We actually reached a whole new neighborhood this year. We deliver pies and pray with the people.

I think Ben, Lucas, Trace and Isaac enjoyed themselves as well!

We headed out to eat after the outreach and went to Pei Wei and then for some coffee.

Sunday - So today was a tough day....

They announced this morning that there is a candidate for the full time youth position and they will be announcing who it is next Sunday.

We have known this day was going to come at some point but it still didn't make it any easier. We are thankful to each of you who offered us words of encouragement and for your prayers.

We love these youth so much - they have become a part of our family. They have strengthened us and blessed us in ways they will never understand.

The only thing that is getting us through is that God has given us a peace about our future. "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

These past 20 months we have been blessed in ways we never imagined possible. We are so thankful to each of the youth who are part of our lives and will always remain part of our lives.

After church, some of the girls came over for Bible study and some ended up staying until church.

Our kids love these youth.

The other day, Britton and I were reading a book and it asked, what do you do if you have a hard decision to make. Britton said "you talk to God" Knowing God will get us through these next few weeks, He will carry us when we feel weak and give us strength to face the day. Grateful for every moment he has blessed us with these youth and for the opportunity to be a part of their lives.

The Last day - Unity Retreat 2011

Everyone was excited to begin the morning.

Of course we began with an amazing breakfast!

Britton has already said he wants drums like McLain for Christmas.

Sam and Trace were nice enough to clean up for everyone.

For worship with morning, Brandon decided to do an activity.

Everyone had a piece of paper on their backs and we signed them with encouraging words of thanks and appreciation.

And they kept going and going....

and going and going...

I'm not sure how many times Brandon said we needed to wrap it up and they said they weren't finished. So the encouraging words went on.

After finishing up and some songs, we thanked everyone involved and then started packing up. Words can not begin to express our gratitude for everyone involved in this weekend. We could not have done it without you. The purple team ended up winning this weekend but overall, it was more about unity and less about winning. So proud of the youth this weekend and how Christ was glorified through their words and actions.

Britton rode the bus home and had way too much fun with Mr. Barry. It's the little things that he remembers on every trip and one of the highlights for him is always riding the bus.

We headed home tired but fulfilled. This weekend was full of blessing and will be forever etched in my mind.

Evening Worship

Hearing the youth lifting up the name of Jesus in song and praise and the lesson was a perfect ending to the day. We came to be unified as a youth group in Christ, praise His name.

After worship, we headed outside for a campfire, smores and hot chocolate. Britton and Sam went ghost busting and Britton had a blast with him! What a blessed day.

Games and Prayer Partners

After lunch we headed outside for another game and a time of prayer.

A couple of the adults mentioned that our kids would go to any other these youth but shy away from the adults. We are so blessed that our youth love on our kids. They absolutely adore all of these youth.

After the game, we had a lesson on prayer and broke off into prayer partners. If there was someone they needed to heal a broken relationship with, this was also encouraged. My faith is strengthened daily by the faith of these youth. This afternoon, they played ultimate frisbee and football.

Before dinner, we tried to do an obstacle course.

I think they were too tired!

Paul Fuqua cooked this weekend for us, but we were also surrounded by other chaperones who were willing to help in all areas. Thank you to each of you who contributed to this weekend!

Britton adores Trace. When we were working on the retreat, trying to organize things, we asked Britton whose team he wanted to be on. He knew he could choose anyone and who did he choose - Trace. He wanted to be with him and was certain that their team would beat mama!

After Bible study, we headed out to play volleyball, bean bag toss and kickball.

I have to brag on the girls on my team, so many of them did so good at kickball!

Morning Worship

After a few games, we moved to a time of worship.

We had some special people who took time to cook for all of us this weekend and we are so grateful for them!

There is something really special about hearing youth praise the name of Christ.

We are incredibly blessed to have some amazing talent in our youth group and were blessed all weekend by them.

After worship, we moved into a time of mentoring, getting to know our teammates.

Each team broke off and spent time together getting to know one another and praying with one another.

It really set the tone for the rest of the day.

The First Games

After an amazing breakfast, we were ready to begin the day with some games.

Everyone was excited to begin the day and pumped about their teams.

The first game was a donut game.

Next we went outside for the water hat game.

It was a close race until the very end!

From the moment we arrived, people were cheering each other on, encouraging one another and building one another up.

Unity Retreat

I traveled up to Camp Kavanaugh with the kids a little earlier so I could make sure everything was organized. Steve met me a little while later and helped unpack boxes and clean! The kids were excited to be in a new place!

When the youth arrived, they were excited and ready to find out their teams and what was planned.

Mr. Barry was beyond excited to be on the green team.

All 70 of us arrived safe and sound and are excited about what God has in store for the weekend.

Proverbs 31

This morning the youth packed boxes for operation Christmas child and we packed 66 boxes!

For lunch today we had an appreciation lunch for the Proverbs 31 women in our lives. The youth girls and I have been studying Proverbs 31 and to end the study, we planned this event.

   She is worth far more than rubies.
¹¹ Her husband has full confidence in her
   and lacks nothing of value.

   all the days of her life.

We studied for the past 9 weeks all these characteristics. I'm so thankful to be a part of these girls lives and am so blessed by them.

This afternoon, Britton worked hard folding all the bandanas for unity retreat.

Tonight during small group, the girls gave me one of these plaques that we had given the Proverbs 31 women in our lives.

Soccer and Bronson's First Birthday Party

Today was Britton's last soccer game of the season.

His team has one more next week but we will be gone!

I love how they open in prayer.

Britton played great!

This kick was from one end of the field...

and he scored! One kick went from one end of the field all the way to the goal!!!

Britton also ended up scoring one other goal. In his words, I whipped it around and kicked it and scored mama! He doesn't realize it was in the wrong net (in his defense, it's the net they've always been going towards except today) and we are not going to tell him! He was so proud of his two goals!

Yay for soccer! Really proud of how he played this year!

After quiet time we headed out for Bronson's first birthday party.

I can't believe he is going to be one!

It was a lot of fun and I know the kids had a great time! Happy birthday Bronson!

Do I Have to Dress Up Again?

Monday - This morning we went trick or treating with Britton's school.H

He was not very excited that he needed to dress up again but enjoyed himself once he realized it meant getting candy!

I knew I wouldn't have much luck getting his costume on again and I didn't! He had dressed up Friday, Saturday and today though and decided he was done. We had a great time with his class!

Tuesday - Love this smile!

Wednesday - It was a beautiful day to play outside.

Wicked, Trick or Treating and Soccer

Sunday - Today we went to go see Wicked.

Melody and Natalie were there too with a bunch of people from church! So good to see them. Love these girls!

Tonight we went to Trail of Treats in White House where Brandon was giving out candy with DC Fitness. It was freezing!

Saturday - This morning Britton headed out for breakfast with Papa while Mom and I took Paityn out for breakfast. It was a great morning and then time for soccer!

Yay!

Tonight was trunk of treat at church.

Trace chased Britton around for awhile; we are so blessed by the youth we work with.

It was an incredibly busy weekend. We are so blessed.
