Tastefully Simple Party

Last night we went to a Tastefully Simple party at Jeff and Abbey's house. Britton was so excited to see Reed and get to play with him.
I'm sure Jeff, Danny and Brandon loved that the boys like to turn on and off the TV.
Britton wasn't quite sure what we were doing downstairs.

He was just happy to be playing with his best friend, Reed.
Mr. Danny tried to explain to Britton and Reed what a party is like.
Brandon and Reed decided something really interesting was on TV! I'm not sure how much watching and playing with the kids Brandon did!

Day with Auntie Meghan

I worked today at the Care Center from 8-8 so Britton got to spend the day with Auntie Meghan. First of all went to mom and Robert's to visit, mom got to even see him before work!
He was so excited to be with Auntie Meghan! He even got to play with my Oma, his great Oma.

He has also started to make some really funny faces. He loves to "smile" for the camera.
This is his mischievous smile, whenever he knows he's doing something he shouldn't!

Britton and His Best Friend Reed

On September 10, 2007 Abbey and Jeff got to meet their son, Reed, for the first time. They have been such a big part of Britton's life since he was born and we have loved watching Reed and Britton grow up together.
This was from the first time Reed and Britton met on September 20, 2007. Weren't they so small!

Reed and Britton love to be together, but they get a little jealous when one's getting held and the others not.
They love playing with each other's toys and chasing or pushing each other!
Aren't they adorable!
Of course, Abbey and I visit Target quite a bit and the boys love to play with all the balls there!
And of course, I'm learning how to CVS shop with Jeff so they're pretty used to be there too!

Boys will be boys!

Labor Day 2008

We had a nice lazy labor day. We decided to play outside for awhile even though it was hot.
Britton was all over the place - playing with his sand table, climbing up the slide and even slashing around his pool.
Savannah just laid around watching all the fun!

Brandon's Surprise 30th Birthday Party

On August 23 we had a surprise birthday party for Brandon.

Jeff and Abbey helped me plan it and pull it off. Brandon absolutely loves Abbey's brownies, so she made his birthday cake of them.
We planned a scavenger hunt for our Sunday School class and made sure Brandon and Jeff and then Abbey and I were on the same teams.

While the other two teams were out scavenging for things, Abbey and I came back to the church to set everything up. We had a lot of people help with food and drinks.

Brandon's mom pulled our all her pictures of Brandon growing up for us all to see.

When Brandon's team returned to the church, we were all waiting in the fellowship hall.

He was so surprised!

I had put together 30 questions about Brandon and everyone filled out the questionnaire. Brandon told us all the right answers. Of course, his mom won (I didn't participate)

We had quite a few people from our Sunday School class,

family members, and friends,

and quite a few friends of his from the YMCA.

Auntie Meghan was happy to just play with Britton. Jordan was even brave enough to hold the pole while Brandon swung at the pinata.
We also had karaoke set up and all the boys loved to sing,

As well as the girls,
And even the Batson family!

Some of our friends even decided to see if they could get Reed to fly.

Britton, Brandon and myself had a great time that night and thank all of you who came and participated!

August 2008

Britton has found our plant and loves to take all the dirt out! He decided that a little rake would help him with this task.
August 17 - Brandon and Jeff have decided to teach children's choir this year (Abbey and I have a Bible study, but then we are going to help as well). We had the kickoff this night and Britton and Reed just loved all the music!
It's so cute to watch them dance!
Auntie Meghan has finally moved back home and decided to give Britton a faux hawk! We're so happy she's near us now!

August 30 - Meghan and I threw a wedding shower for Courtney.

We hope that God will bless their marriage and future together.
August 31 - Brandon turned 30 today and was not very happy about it!
I just love my little boy! Papa loves to play with him all the time!

We had Brandon's birthday dinner at mom and Robert's. Britton was really excited about all the food.

He loved daddy's cake!
