On the Road Again

Both the kids woke up very happy this morning.

Britton headed out to play in the snow again.

He looks like such a Versteeg here!

"Look mama"

Paityn absolutely loves her brother. She follows him everywhere and just laughs when he's around.

Look at how high the snow is!

We were all ready to go but the batteries were dead in the bus!

The guys threw snowballs.

John tried to throw a big one!

We ended up going back inside to warm up.

Paityn tried so hard to stay awake but couldn't make it anymore!

We finally got on the road and saw this beautiful sunset. The trip really went well, I think the kids traveled so well and the youth had such a great time! I don't think the trip could've gone much better!

Skiing

We got up this morning and had a little breakfast and then I headed out to the ski hill while Mrs. Lisa Cobb watched the kids. Look at the snow drifts!

This was our hotel.

I headed out to the hill to help the youth get ready for skiing since most of them haven't skied before.

They were so excited!

I really wish I was able to ski but since I'm still breastfeeding Paityn, it would've been too hard!

Mitchell had hung back and Britton and him ate some oranges together. I think Britton ate about 5 oranges today!

Our balcony was covered in snow.

He was so excited to go out and play in it!

He even threw lots of snowballs.

It was so nice to hang out with the kids!

Paityn was so happy the entire time.

Britton picked up my camera and started taking pictures.

I thought he did really well!

After a nap, I took the kids outside to sled.

They loved it! Britton thought it was pretty cool when they crashed into the snow.

After dinner, we all met together to have a devotional.

I think the youth were exhausted but they had had such an amazing time!

It was a great way to end an amazing day!

On the Road

Britton drummed all day! He was drumming really loud and I asked him to be a little quieter and he said he couldn't because "McLain drums really loud mama" Paityn also decided she wanted to copy Britton!

This afternoon, we headed out to Beech Mountain, NC with the youth group for a ski trip. The trip went really well and the kids traveled really well! We arrived at the hotel to tons of snow! The roads had actually been closed due to so much snow; it was going to be perfect conditions for skiing! This was the pile of snow that greeted us going into our room.

We arrived around 12 midnight which was 1 their time. By the time Britton wound down, it was around 2 am. He was exhausted!

Paityn was such a trouper too.

A girl that I went to high school with makes some amazing dresses! I absolutely love them!

Bible Verse

Tuesday - Savannah and Lucky are enjoying the garage since it's so cold out. Britton is really good with them.

Wednesday - Britton has learned his Bible verse for Awana. "God loved us and sent his Son." 1 John 4:10 He is so proud of himself!

"I'm big and strong mama! I ate chocolate!"
