The Eleventh Month - April 9, 2008

Britton is now 10 months old and developing a personality each and every day. He is keeping Brandon and I very busy!

He decided that he didn't want to eat cereal anymore one morning and will now "tell you" when he doesn't want something.
March 13, 2008 Abbey and I took Britton and Reed to the Nashville Zoo. They weren't quite sure about all the animals, but they loved being outside.

It really wore them out and they were sound asleep before we even made it to the van!
Auntie Meghan decided that we dress Britton too much like a little boy and not like a baby so she bought this outfit. Do I look like a baby Auntie Meghan?
Savannah has become an outside dog but Britton loves it when she sneaks inside to play for awhile!
Abbey and I love to take Britton and Reed for walks on the greenway. It's good exercise and also lets the boys get some fresh air.
St. Patrick's day! Our friends - Jimmy and Meilyn - are living in Ireland working as missionaries. We thought of them a lot this day! We miss you guys!
Britton just absolutely loves his lion. He will walk forever with it. The only problem is he hasn't figured out how to turn it around so he'll run into something and then you have to rescue him and put him in the right direction.
I love my little boy!

The Tenth Month - March 9, 2007

9 months and so full of smiles and laughter! Britton said his first word - dada in Old Navy while Brandon was holding him. Brandon still likes to bring that up! The next day though, he said mama! He is giving "the look" already.

February 13, 2008 We had our first little snow today and Britton just loved to watch it fall out the window.
February 27, 2008 Britton had a chance to play in the snow today. He wasn't quite sure about it all.
March 8, 2008 We were blessed with quite a bit of snow this year. It was great to play in it and get some fresh air!
He was tired after all the playing outside - he loves to suck his first two fingers when he's tired or hungry.

The Ninth Month - February 9, 2008

Look at those big beautiful blue eyes!

Britton is 8 months old and starting to work out with his daddy already!
Brandon was so excited to see Britton pick this up and start playing with it.
My cousin, Kris Versteeg, is playing with the Chicago Blackhawks. They were playing Nashville so we got a chance to visit with him the night before.
January 13, 2008 - we went to the hockey game to watch Kris play against the Predators.

January 25, 2008 we went to Carson Newman college for with the SBC youth for Youth Project.

The Eighth Month - January 9, 2008

Britton started pulling up this past month as well as crawling! Gone are the days when I can just lay him somewhere!

I think we must have the cutest baby ever!
Martin family Christmas get together at Jerry and Vickie's house.
On the Go Christmas inner city outreach.

We also experienced Christmas for the first time as a family. We all got spoilt!

Good morning daddy! It's time to wake up and get presents!

He loved his new wagon!

And all the other toys he got.

Christmas at E-mama and E-daddy's. What is a child to do with all these toys!

Our first "ginger bread house" (tree) as a family.

Boxing day - getting ready to go to Papa and Oma's house.

We tried to take a family picture but couldn't Britton or Savannah to cooperate! They just wanted to play. This was probably Britton's favorite new toy. He absolutely loves walking behind it.

The Seventh Month - December 9, 2007

It's hard to believe that half a year has gone by. Britton is now 6 months old, 25 1/2 inches and 17lbs. 2oz.

Britton started to eat more and more food, as well as make a bigger mess!
He also has gotten up on all fours; he's trying so hard!
On November 11, 2007 Britton played baby Jesus at a youth musical at our church.
He cried just a little but everyone thought it was perfect!

Britton also experienced his first outreach project with On the Go Ministries. We went on their Thanksgiving outreach to the inner city of Nashville.

He also went to his first hockey game - the Predators versus Blackhawks on November 15, 2007.
He also loves his new bathtub that his best friend Reed gave him.
Auntie Meghan came home for Thanksgiving and we had a great time with her!
Britton loves his cousins - Shelby and Will!

Overall, we had a great Thanksgiving and have so much to be thankful for. God is good!
