Christmas Eve

Britton decided today was the day to play with his favorite lion that we bought last Christmas! That toy has certainly gotten it's moneys worth.
Tonight was our Christmas Eve service at the church.
It's one of my favorite services all year long.
Afterwards, we went over to mom and Robert's for French Tortiere (meat pie).
The family was there, plus Jeff, Abbey and Reed.
We are so blessed to have such amazing friends and are so glad our family thinks as much too!
Britton and Reed have been playing really well together and really enjoyed all the toys to play with.

Hasn't he grown so much from last year!

After dinner, we opened a few presents...
the boys got singing bears and snowmen...
and also a Thomas train track!
I'm sure next year will be filled with Thomas and trains!
My mom bought Robert a Wii so after presents, Jeff and Brandon played a game of boxing.
It was highly entertaining to say the least!
After a lot of sweat, Jeff hitting Brandon, Brandon actually beat Jeff!
It's hard to believe this year has past and Christmas is here again.
We have been so blessed this year and can't wait to see what God has in store for us next year.

Getting Ready for Christmas

Britton and Reed got to hang out with Jeff, Abbey and Bill on Monday while I worked. I heard they had a really good time!
We decorated our house for Christmas after Thanksgiving but are still working on figuring out where things should go.
Every time we move, where we put our tree, decorations and nativity scenes has to change as well!

We're really excited about Christmas this year and watching Britton all his gifts, it's going to be so different from last year!

On the Go Christmas Outreach

Britton went on his second On the Go Christmas outreach this year, although it was a little colder than last year!
Charmelle and Katie, two seniors from our Sunday School class, also came along with us. As a class we had adopted one of the families we met at Thanksgiving so we were able to deliver the gifts for Christmas.
After delivering presents, we headed to Green Hills to eat at the Cheesecake Factory, the only problem was that Charmelle slammed her coat in the car door and was stuck! Britton also found him a new girlfriend, he absolutely loves Katie! He thought Charmelle was really funny!
We love our seniors and had a lot of fun with Katie and Charmelle.
Brandon really enjoyed talking to them about working out (of course)!

We're hoping Katie and Charmelle had as much fun as we did!

My First Carousal Ride

Each year for Christmas, my family goes to a Christmas concert and then out to eat. We've gone to Michael W Smith, Amy Grant, Point of Grace and the Katinas in the past.
This year we went to see the Rockettes and then to Opry Mills to eat. The Rockettes were really good, but the best part was the live Nativity scene at the end. It was amazing! Of course, right in the middle of the food court, there is a carousal and papa decided to take Britton on his first ride.
Britton didn't really care for the horses, so they decided on the teacup. The only problem is that Britton loved to spin around, and Papa not so much.
Britton loved his first carousal ride but I wasn't sure if Papa was going to make it off of it!

Auntie Meghan Babysits

Auntie Meghan babysat me today and I had too much fun!
I threw all of my mama's stuff out of her cabinets and of course laughed about it!
Auntie Meghan told me she was going to feed me pizza but it was taking longer than I like...
I said to hurry up and stop taking pictures!
I wanted pizza! I love you Auntie Meghan!

Best Friends

Jerry is still in the hospital so Britton went to visit with Reed and Abbey again on Monday. Words cannot even describe how excited he was!
Apparently the boys played pretty hard, Britton was exhausted when he got home!
Abbey said they chased each other, played ball and even had a little conversation among each other.
They really get along well. They're at a stage where they steal toys from each other, but both of them are really good about giving them back to each other and sharing when asked to.
I know Abbey had her hands full all day though!
Today, Abbey went to get her hair cut and Reed came over to play for a little while. They played piano for me, it was quite interesting to say the least!
