Youth Christmas Party

We had the youth over tonight for a Christmas party.

We normally have 40 kids on Wednesday nights but weren't sure how many would come for a Christmas party.

40 kids showed up!

We played a game of dirty Santa which had lots of amusing gifts. Adam got the ugly sweater!

Wednesday - They were laughing so hard!

I love hearing the sound of them laughing and playing together.

So today Paityn decided to crawl up the stairs.

I'm not excited because of course she can get up but not down!

Britton was encouraging her the entire way.

Then Britton decided to swing on the gate! Only problem was he was stuck until I rescued him!

The Live Nativity Scene

Today we headed downtown for the On the Go Christmas festival.

Only two of the youth joined us but we had so much fun! They were the live nativity.

Since I had Paityn with me as well I just watched.

I think Britton made the cutest shepherd.

The same animals were there as last year but there was much more space.

The cow is a little forceful and was knocking the llama. The next thing we knew, the llama spit on Melody and McLain!

Now I know you're thinking it can't be that much. But apparently, it's not spit, it's actually regurgitation - throw up! He slung his head, it was quite a bit!

John also was in charge of cleaning up :) We headed out for lunch after and then I came home since we had a wedding tonight and I wanted to try and get the kids to nap. Robert and Sarah Fowler were married tonight, it was beautiful. The kids stayed home with Melody and had a great time!

Singing Lights

I couldn't find Paityn and then looked to find her under the Christmas tree! She is the one that goes for everything she shouldn't.

Britton decided to stack the Christmas presents.

Tonight we went with the youth out to eat and then to Target to buy gifts for an adopted family.

Britton really wanted to ride the carousel.

Even David got to ride!

Once we were finished with headed to Nashville to see the "singing" Christmas lights. They're programed to music. We had seen them last week on our lights tour and decided to go again. John, Melody and Sammy joined us since they were riding in the van!

They are beautiful.

Christmas Party and Gingerbread House

This morning we headed over to Britton's school for a Christmas party.

Paityn loved to play!

All the kids were there.

They exchanged gifts and Britton loved his!

Tonight we worked on our gingerbread house.

Britton did a great job this year.

Each year we've made one but this was probably the first year Britton really enjoyed it and understood what we were doing.

Paityn went upstairs with Brandon while Britton and I cleaned up. You could hear her yelling for Britton at the top of the stairs! They love each other so much.
