Holding Hands

Today we just hung out at Charleston Southern.
Britton was being so sweet to Paityn!

Love these pictures!
This afternoon was Mega Relay and since it had rained the night before, they held it inside.

All week, every time we saw Josh, Paityn would point and say something. I finally realized she was calling him J. We were outside and she said his name, eating dinner and then out by the pond. During worship tonight, I couldn't get her to sit still and she kept saying J and reaching for him. I realized she just wanted Josh and as soon as he held her, she calmed down and listened to the music.

Britton had a ton of fun with David and actually sat with him for quite a while!

Second Full Day

Today we decided to drive down to the beach. I knew that it would be too hard to keep up with both of them so we decided to just look and I didn't bring the bathing suits.

Britton loved it and kept jumping in the water!
Look mama!
We came back and thankfully they both took some good naps since I had been up pretty late the night before.

Really proud of Brandon this week and his leadership with our youth. I know that although this week is incredibly fulfilling and fun, it is also hard thinking about not working this closely alongside these kids. I'm so proud of who Brandon is and the example he is for the youth and our family.

During church group devotions, Britton loved sitting with David! He sat there so quietly and listened to everyone.

Paityn also sat pretty quietly tonight.
After devotions, we headed to the chapel to hear Ben and Adam play in the variety show. Britton couldn't stop laughing as he hung out with Sam and Trace.
He didn't even want to sit with me, he wanted to stay with them! Although it was a long day, it was a great day. It was so nice to see how talented our youth are and how well they use their talents for Christ. We are so blessed.

Tonight I had just finished talking to Alannah and went to bed when I heard thunder and then a big pop. A transformer blew and we were out of power. Luckily the kids slept right through it although I didn't end up getting but like three hours sleep!

First Day

We had a good day today!
It was a beautiful day!
Perfect for quiet time.
This morning we had am worship and Bible study and then while everyone headed to their tracks, the kids and I hung out. We drove down to see the ocean!
I love my sleeping babies!
Britton loves hanging out with all the youth. Olivia and Katie hung out in our room since Michelle, Olivia's mom, was our suite mate!

On our way to worship!

Night night world! He was exhausted!

Missionfuge 2011

Sunday - We left at about 2 pm to head towards Missionfuge in Charleston, SC with the youth. I drove my van so that we would have a vehicle going up in case needed and also while we were there! About an hour down the road, we heard a large pop and saw a tire from the big bus fly towards us. Luckily, it hit the road and bounced enough to get out of our way. Mr Ricky was driving the big bus and drove it slowly off the road where they proceeded to change the tire. So our first stop happened pretty quickly!
We ended up back on the road and made really good time till our overnight stop in Newport. The kids traveled so well but they were exhausted and passed out!
Monday - Paityn woke up so happy!

Britton was excited to get to ride in the bus with Papa.

Loved the view as we drove through the mountains.

We stopped for lunch at a mall so the youth could run around for a little while.
Of course, Britton had to ride the carousal!
I know he is going to have a great time with the youth this week.
Josh and Paityn had been walking holding hands and I missed it!

Run Britton!

It was Jessica's 16th birthday and Eric got her the perfect card and necklace.
We finally reached Charleston Southern University and it was hot!

All of the girls
until we realized a couple were missing and took another picture!
The boys.
Lincoln kept hiding from the camera!
Britton loves Mitchell!
Britton drank so much water!
He also loved this ball.

Silly boy!
Look at my footprints!

Even Paityn started warming up to the youth.

Tonight we started worship and what an amazing experience to see 600 youth praising God.
Watching Britton clap his hands and sing was awesome.

Love these kids and am so looking forward to this experience with them.
