Louisville Zoo

We headed to the Louisville zoo for a day trip. Our first stop was for some breakfast at Cracker Barrell!
We were so excited when we got to the zoo.
Britton loved the big turtles (tortoise)!
They were huge!
Britton thought the orangutans were pretty neat as well.
This orangutan was pretty entertaining!
Penguins! They were swimming and on the land, dancing like happy feet!
This was a white alligator, apparently it is extremely rare.
Brandon loved the snakes, I hated them!
Flamingos!
The bald eagle.
Britton was really entertained by the sleeping jaguar. He kept saying "jag sleepy"
Brandon's favorite animal was the snow leopard, apparently it can jump 50 feet!

The zoo was extremely packed. I think everyone decided to go today because the weather was perfect! We got one of the last parking spaces in the grass before they made people just hunt for a space! While we were eating lunch, I noticed this emu right behind me!
Of course Britton decided that the choo choo tracks were a great place to play!
Luckily, the train was out of commission so the tracks were "safe" to play on.
The kangaroos.
The tiger was Britton's favorite animal! When you ask him was he saw at the zoo and what his favorite was, he says "tiger!"
Even though Britton liked looking at the gorillas, he did not really like them that close! This one was eating a paper bag.
This gorilla was posing for all the cameras.
Monkeys.
The baby elephant.

"Look at the elephants mama!"
Mama and baby.
Zebras.
Courtney and Britton saying cheese!
Camels.
My favorite animal, the lion!
Baby giraffe and mama.
Trying to climb and see the rhinos.
He was getting a little sleepy but still so happy!
Up close with the giraffe.
Courtney decided to come with us and Britton was so glad that "Tortney" had come along!
Riding the rhino.

We had to much fun at the zoo! It was a great family trip!
On our way home, we stopped for a break in Bowling Green. At one of the lights, 4 policemen on motorcycles came out and a cop car to stop traffic. Over 70 corvettes proceeded to drive through. People got out of their cars to see them and everything.
It must be something special to the area! We had a great time on our trip but were extremely exhausted when we made it home!
