5 Months Old and Preschool

Sunday - Crazy kids!

Monday - Britton started preschool today! He is going to be going 2 full days a week while I'm working! Preschool is in the morning and then they offer aftercare. He was really excited about school since his best friend, Reed, will be there as well. On Thursdays, Reed will not be there but some other kids he knows will be going so hopefully he'll have a good time as well!

He was all ready to go with a Toy Story lunchbox, blanket and shirt!

I can't believe how much he has grown up. When we got to school, he walked right in. When Reed came they just ran off together! I had to find him to say goodbye. He apparently had a great day.

Paityn also turned 5 months old today!

It's hard to believe that almost half a year has passed since she entered our life. I am so blessed by an amazing husband and two amazing kids. Each and everyday I'm reminded of how very blessed I am!

Holiday World

Today we went to Holiday World with our youth group. Paityn did so good and Britton had the best time!

Since it was a cooler day (only a little over 90), it was so crowded! I think the youth had a great time as well though.

Britton was so excited to drive a car around. Katie Hogan and Shelby Evans went along as chaperons and so he chauffeured them around as well.

The next ride was a train ride! Unfortunately because the lines were so long, we had to wait awhile. Britton did not like the lines!

He was pretty patient though!

Thank you Katie and Shelby for going and hanging out with us! We had a great time!

Britton really liked the water rides. We rode the frightful falls a few times!

I was so proud of Britton, he wanted to ride the cars again and went along with Melody and CJ. I didn't think he would go without me! He did walk away with them but then wanted to come back a little later. At least he walked a little ways!

While they watched Paityn, I went and rode some rides with Britton (Brandon was riding roller coasters!)

Despite no nap and the heat, the kids did great!

Did I say how much Britton loved the water rides? He was soaked!

And then he wanted to ride it again!

We had a great time at Holiday World and with the youth!

The First Tooth

Monday - Paityn is drooling all the time so I know a tooth has to be coming soon! She is so happy though!

Britton loves running all the time! Wednesday - We went swimming at my parents and after getting out this is how they laid together! Britton was singing Jesus loves me to her.
Paityn's tooth is also starting to come through! Britton cut his first at four months as well so I'm not surprised at how early it is.
They were so worn out from swimming, they took great naps! Britton loves sleeping with her!

Thursday - Paityn's tooth is all the way out on the bottom. She cried during church last night which isn't like her and then fell asleep. When she woke up you could feel the whole tooth!

Friday - She is so determined!

It's been way too hot! I think it has been over 100 degree heat index everyday this week. It's miserable outside!

Youth Cookout

After church tonight, we had a cookout with the youth group. Brandon was recently asked along with another guy named John to be co-interns for our youth group. Our youth pastor left a few months ago and we are in the process of hiring a new pastor so to fill in in the meantime Brandon will be working more with the youth!

We currently teach Sunday school and Wednesday nights so now it will be also organizing events and Sunday night activities! We are really excited about this opportunity that God had given us!

We love our youth group and all the kids that we work with. Actually, when we started teaching we taught seventh and eighth grade boys. Those boys that had us starting in seventh grade will now have us as their senior teachers! Poor kids will have had us for three years out of six!

We had a cookout and some games.

Paityn loved all the attention! I think the kids kind of intimidate Britton but I know he will get more comfortable with them. They love him!

Yes, for those of you family members in Canada, we borrowed some of Uncle Rob's games ideas! The kids loved them!

Sitting Up

Tuesday - We had a relaxing day around the house, straightening up and cleaning! Much needed after the long day of flying yesterday.

Wednesday - Paityn decided that she needed to grow a little more and sat up for the first time by herself! She had done it for a little bit and then I went downstairs while Brandon watched the kids. He said to come upstairs and there she was sitting!

Thursday - My finger suckers!

He is so sweet to her, he was singing Jesus loves me to her! Every night before he goes to bed he gives her a kiss and says "I love you Paityn! Mama, I love her" Melts my heart.

Saturday - We went with Jeff and Abbey to the Melting Pot to celebrate our birthdays! I know that it is way past our birthdays but this was literally the soonest that we could celebrate. Our lives are so busy and Jeff and Abbey are going to be even busier. They are getting ready to adopt two more little boys from Taiwan!
