Monkey Joe's

Today Abbey and I took the boys to a place called Monkey Joe's. It'll be a great rainy day get away!Britton's favorite thing was the big slide, unfortunately though he is too small to walk up it so I had to carry him up each time!
He also loved all the ride on toys around.

On Wednesday nights, Brandon and I help with our youth group at church. Tonight the lesson was on Revelations 3:11. Michael, our youth pastor, showed a small clip from Facing the Giants where one of the players is asked to do the death crawl. Some of our youth demonstrated how difficult this really is!
We really love working with all of them, there is usually over 50 kids on Wednesday night and they teach us so much!

Riding a Motorbike

This is what Britton made in church on Sunday.
After mother's day out, Reed kept asking Abbey if Britton could come play so we went walking (Britton says balking, he has his b's and w's a little confused. He says balking and bater!) Since we're in the process of building a new house near them, we stopped by to see BB (Brandon). I told Reed to try to lift the blocks but he thought I said lick the blocks!
Then Britton decided to try out Reed's motorcycle.

As we went walking, they pushed each other down the street!

Grilling Out

It was a little chilly out and the wind was really going but it was a good night to grill out.
Britton decided to dress up and come hang out with mama outside.
Of course, he had to show daddy where we still needed to grow grass!

Auntie Mo's bruise is getting a little better, she keeps finding new ones on her body though!

Reunited

It was absolutely beautiful so Abbey and I took the boys to the park.
They were beyond happy to see each other!

I'm afraid Abbey and I are going to have more problems getting the boys inside this summer than outside. They both cry when we bring them in and love to play outdoors!
When I got home, Britton decided he wanted to drive.
He even asked for the keys!

Flying Home

After a very busy week, it was time to fly back home.
It was so good to see my dad and all the rest of the family.
Saying goodbye to my dad is always so hard!
Luckily, Britton fell asleep soon after the flight took off.
My little angel.

Meghan cuddled with beaver and watched a movie.
Then he woke up, realized Auntie Meghan was playing with his beaver and decided it was time for him to play!

Mama, did you know there are lots of voices in this beaver!
When we arrived in Houston, Britton was thrilled there was some escalators. So he went up...
and down..... Of course, he had to have a sucker on the flight! He wore this shirt especially for his daddy.
Our last flight, we had to walk out to the plane, it was beautiful outside.
He played really well on the flight and after over 30 hours of traveling, we were almost home.
During the past couple weeks, his vocabulary has really taken off. This was right after I told him I loved him and he said something like lub you!
Britton ran to his daddy yelling daddy the entire way, we had gotten a picture but it was really blurry. He was really tired at this point but so excited to see Brandon.

Build A Bear

Britton woke up and decided that we all needed some laughter and massaging!
It was time to leave Canada and the mountains.
We did make a stop at Tim Horton's for some timbits and coffee. Britton loved the timbits!
Then it was off to Build A Bear before the airport. The last time we came to Canada, dad and Britton made a moose together. Britton listens to his voice all the time so I really wanted him to make another one on this trip.
This time we picked out a beaver. Dad had also stopped and gotten the build-a-noise buttons before so Oma Versteeg and Opa and Oma Oudman each recorded one.
This is going to be one talking beaver!

Kisses and wishes....
Now he has a beaver in an RCMP outfit!
